Battle¶
In order to unlock Flonne, you need to download the Disgaea D2 DLC and complete all three maps for The Legend Begins. Flonne is someone that is best suited to be a healer/buffer, if you choose to use them at all. She can learn up to Tera Heal by herself, plus she has a few of the buff moves in her repertoire already. Also, for every unit you deploy on the map, even if they’re fodder, her unique Evility (Love Field) makes it so everyone else will take lesser damage. Needless to say, since she is mostly designed to be a healer, RES is her best stat, and she is very adept at using

Overload¶
Flonne’s Overload is called Volunteer Sauveur, which turns her into Pure Flonne and increases her stats by 30%. Pure Flonne doesn’t really do much stats-wise, other than the 30% boost to overall stats. However, she does gain access to a new skill, Love Extreme, here, presuming it’s already unlocked. While it does good damage, it’s not necessarily something that’s going to break open the game, which about sums up the Overload as well, especially when you are later in the game and don’t need the 30% stats.
Evilities¶
Flonne’s unique Evility is called Love Field, and it basically decreases the damage an ally takes by 1%, for every ally that is dispatch (up to a maximum of 20%). This is an okay unique Evility, and the passive damage reduction is always nice while she’s out. If you are earlier in the game and manage to get Flonne recruited, then something like Iron Love Fist can be extremely useful to put on her, since RES is one of the easier stats to boost, thanks to the Orbs you receive.
Love Protection is a great Evility, especially if you know you’re going to be confronting enemies with a lot of ailments or just going through the Item World. Lastly, Have You Loved? makes it so you can pretty much heal someone from across the map. You will want to add any Evilities that enhance healing or buffing, like Expert Hands and Medical Insertion for unique Evilities.

Trivia¶
- Flonne actually has a favorite food, which is tomalley (it’s the digestive gland of a lobster).
- Flonne actually references Domon Kasshu, from the anime G Gundam, with his “This hand of mine is burning red” speech that he uses, although she puts her own little spin on it.
