Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

Rabbit

By
Jarrod Garripoli
Portrait Description
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance Screenshot They form a special squad that responds to disasters and invasions. There were arguments when they were founded, since they are from Toto Bunny, but the citizens now accept and respect them. As volunteer soldiers, they train every day and never forget to go out on patrol.

The Rabbit is unlockable once you reach Episode 5, when a quest titled Serious Warrior appears in the Quest Shop. To complete it, you need to defeat 3 Imps. The Rabbit is definitely a bit of an odd monster class, as they received a bigger boost to their stats and aptitudes with their last tier, the Marshal Rabbit. Because of this slightly bigger boost than usual, they are a pretty decent monster to use. They have a pretty good jumping power (they are Rabbits, of course), and can be brought in to deal some good physical damage. They have high ATK and SPD aptitudes, so they might be a little harder to hit than some other monsters. Add onto that they have a 3x3 skill, and their second Magichange skill also is similar in scope, and you have a solid monster unit.

Evilities

The Rabbit’s unique Evility, Benefits of Gaea, increases the damage dealt by 30% when attacking from a higher elevation. If you can make sure you are always attacking from an higher elevation, then this is a nice Evility. However, due to the randomness of the Item World, as well as some maps not offering this bonus, you’re not always going to get the extra damage. Bunny Hop increases the units jump power by 48. This is situational and not many maps in the game will require the extra jumping power, which can be boosted via other means. Bow Guard increases the unit’s bow resistance by 20% and like all other similar Evilities, you can get the extra resistance from Innocents.

Hidden Valley increases the unit’s ATK and SPD by the current elevation x1%. This could potentially be nice for a fist user, since their damage is based on both ATK and SPD, but it also depends on layout of the maps on which you’ll be fighting. Lightning Speed will increase the movement of the unit by two, but only when their HP is under 30%. Since the increase in movement is based on your HP, this isn’t that good of an Evility. Fatal Blow gives you a 30% chance to deathblow an enemy, but only if the target has a lower SPD than you. Since some units do have some pretty high SPD, this might be beneficial, but it solely depends on if you only want a 30% chance for the deathblow to occur.
