Legendary demons that put the entire Netherworlds into confusion with a devastating curse a few thousand years ago. They were sealed in a ruin, but a grave robber woke them. Their powers have decayed, but they still have the urge to destroy everything. |
The Chimera is unlockable once you reach Episode 6, where a quest titled Chimera Problems becomes available in the Quest Shop. This involves just turning in any 4 INT Monster weapons. The Chimera is a mix of a caster, thanks to its stats, as well as a debuffer, since its unique Evility will be able to debuff enemies’ stats by simply being on the field. Their highest stat aptitudes are actually DEF and INT, so they should be able to take a hit, and you should try to teach them some elemental spells. They should focus, though, on ailments, considering a lot of their skills will inflict one of them.

Evilities¶
The Chimera’s unique Evility, Evil Eye, decreases the stats of enemies on the map by 5%. It should be obvious that this is a great Evility and any supporting unit on the field should have this at some point. The maximum effect for this is 50%, so combine it with Dark Song from the Fake Asagi class to get the biggest benefit. Reduction Curse gives the unit a 25% chance to inflict Shrink whenever they attack normally. This can be a nice ailment, since it prevents the use of both normal attacks and special skills, so the enemy would be pretty helpless. Lock Eyes decreases the evasion rate of enemies on the map by 20%. If you make a true supporting unit, then you probably want this on them, especially in the late stages of the game.
Grief Shout makes it so when the unit with this is defeated, the enemies on the map will have their DEF decreased by 30% for three turns. This isn’t a particularly good Evility, since it requires sacrificing a character. Day of Calamity gives the unit a chance to deathblow the target, but the chance is equal to the number of ailments on them x10%. If you can manage to get the max of 7 ailments on an enemy, then this will cap out at 70%. Of course, you would need multiple units in order to inflict all of them at once. Calamity Shield will nullify damage from units that are inflicted with ailments. If you can get consistent with inflicting ailments, this will be a great Evility.
