Description |
|
The greatest demons, who are born from flames. They are the strongest of all dragons, and are as strong as Overlords. Ordinary weapons can’t hurt them, and the hellfire that flows from their bodies can burn anything in an instant. Legends say they’ve reduced Netherworlds to ash. |
You will not be able to unlock the Dragon King class until the Final Episode, where a quest called Hard Boiled Heart will appear in the Quest Shop. To complete this quest, you need to hand in a fire-elemental weapon, which basically means any with a Burner Innocent on it. The Dragon King is a physical powerhouse, sporting pretty high HP and ATK aptitudes, meaning that you will want to stick with the ATK Monster weapon for this monster class. Naturally, they have high resistance to fire, but are weak to the other two main elements, so they are a bit vulnerable there. In fact, resistances is the name of the game with the Dragon King, as simply having one stand next to an enemy will lower all of their resistances (minus star). One of the problems, though, is that all of their attacks are fire elemental, but that can be turned around with the Magic Knight’s unique Evility added to them.

Evilities¶
The Dragon King’s unique Evility, Anti-Element, decreases the resistances of adjacent units to all elements, except for star, by 30%. This can be a great Evility, especially when you pair it with an elemental mage and any Evility that exploits weaknesses to those elements. Crush increases the damage dealt to shrunk units by 100%. If you combine this with the Chimera’s one Evility that gives you a chance to inflict Shrink with a normal attack, you can have a nice pair. Ruling Penetration will let you evade attacks at the rate of 50%, from enemies that are under 50% HP. This might be useful as you’re doing the main story, but once you get into the postgame, you will want to defeat enemies in a single attack.
Protection Destruction make it so elemental attacks weaken a target’s resistance by 20% for three turns. Combine this with all of the other elemental stuff to have some nice synergy. Element Charge increases the damage of elemental attacks, by uses of that element on the map x5%. So, if you use a lot of fire skills during a battle, the later fire attacks will be more powerful. Attack Weakness makes it so you do 50% more damage when exploiting a target’s negative resistance. Now, this doesn’t work if the resistance is a positive value, but you can try to decrease their resistances with some of the other Evilities.
