Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

Twin Dragon

By
Jarrod Garripoli
Portrait Description
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance Screenshot A race of dragons with two heads. They have limited flight, because their wings are too small for their bodies. Each head has its own will, and they can read each other’s mind. Their attacks are strong, and their teamwork is said to be the best in the Netherworlds.

The Twin Dragon is unlockable once you reach Episode 13, when a quest titled Treasure & Dragons appears in the Quest Shop. To complete it, you need to hand in an Orb piece of equipment that has a rarity of Rare or better. The Twin Dragon is definitely a physically based monster class, as it has a high HP, ATK and DEF aptitude and base stat. While it has a decent INT stat, it might be better to stick to the ATK Monster weapon for the Twin Dragon. One of the big things to take away from the Twin Dragon is its unique Evility, which allows any unit with it to attack twice if they didn’t move on that turn. They also have a few skills that cover a wide area, so they are good for AoEs.

Evilities

The Twin Dragon’s unique Evility, Twin Heads, allows the unit to attack twice in one turn, as long as they don’t move prior to attacking. This is great for a lot of reasons, especially if you allow the enemies to come to you, then you don’t have to move and can fire off two skills in a row. Dragon Treasure increases the equipments’ effect by 20% whenever a Secret Treasure is equipped, which are things like Testament. While this is nice, there are better Evilities that increase things like actual damage. Imperial Wrath makes it so when a unit takes a critical hit, their next attack’s damage will be increased by 100%. You might find this Evility good, but you will not want to take critical hits at all, despite the big boost in damage.

Damage Cut nullifies damage dealt to a unit, whenever it is less than 5% of their max HP. Basically, if a unit has 100 HP and the attack hits them for 4 damage, then it will do zero instead. If you make a tank with a buttload of HP, then this can be one of the best Evilities for that character. King’s Dignity increases the damage dealt to boss units by 50%. This potentially has some uses, when you know you’re going to be up against a boss. Double Attack increases the damage dealt by 30% when attacking the same unit as the previous turn. Basically, if you attack the same unit two turns (or more) in a row, then your attacks will deal 30% more damage on the second plus turn. Of course, you should be killing enemies in a single shot, but it doesn’t always work that way.

Evility Slots Effect Req

Dragon Treasure 4 Increases equipment effect by 20% when treasure is equipped (like the Testament) Rank 2 Twin Dragon
Imperial Wrath 4 When hit with a critical, increase unit’s next attack’s damage dealt by 100% Rank 3 Twin Dragon
Damage Cut 4 Nullify damage dealt that is less than 5% of max HP Rank 4 Twin Dragon
King’s Dignity 4 Increases damage dealt to boss units by 50% Rank 5 Twin Dragon
Double Attack 4 Increases damage dealt by 30% when attacking the same unit as the previous turn Rank 6 Twin Dragon
