Description |
|
It is said that healing magic was first brought to the Netherworld by Fallen Angels. Unlike the males, they believe healing is absolutely necessary. Their schools are several thousand years old, and have produced some of the most prolific healers, including Serra Winguard. |
The Cleric is one of the classes in the game that specializes in healing up damaged allies, meaning it is more of a support class than a damaging one. That’s not to say that a Cleric cannot become a damage class, but it’s going to take a little bit of work to get to that point. Their main stats are SP, RES and HIT, and if you look at their weapon masteries, you see they are good with both a Staff and Bow. Since healing spells are based on RES and Staves give some RES, you might want to stick to those. If you wish to make the Cleric a damage dealer, though, then you want to make them use a Bow.
The Cleric’s unique Evility, Expert Hands, makes her a much better healer than the Clergy, as her heals will be stronger. While their ATK isn’t that nice, their aptitude eventually goes above 100% once you reach the higher tiers, and their HIT aptitude is pretty good. Of course, you can also equip a certain Evility and pump all of the stats into RES to make bows good there, too.

Evilities¶
The Cleric’s unique Evility is called Expert Hands, and increases the potency of her healing magic by 100%. Of course, healing magic isn’t going to defeat enemies, so you have two potential builds for a Cleric here. If you go full support for the Cleric, you can use Evil Eye to decrease the stats of enemies on the map by 5%, as well as Happy Song to increase the stats of your characters by 3%. Although situational, Medical Heal will cure all ailments when using healing spells. Lastly, Light Protection will increase the DEF and RES of the target by 20% whenever you heal them.
If you wish to toss a little combat the Cleric’s way, then you will definitely want Res Arrows on her. This will change the formula for bow damage from ATK/SPD to RES/SPD. Heavy Stance is always great, too, since it’s a flat 30% increase to stats across the board, at the expense of making that unit not liftable. You could also place some elemental spells on the Cleric and add Evilities that are listed under the Magician and Witch.
