Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

Wrestler

By
Jarrod Garripoli
Portrait Description
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance Screenshot Among fighters, only those who are active in Netherworld Wrestling Entertainment are called Wrestlers. These athletes fight in a place called The Ring. Whoever makes the other tap out wins. Audiences enjoy the matches, since they sometimes spill out into the stands.

The Wrestler is unlock upon getting a Rank 2 Armor Knight and a Rank 3 Fighter. There’s no doubting that the Wrestler class is centered around lifting and throwing, making them the kings of that. Their stats are kind of lacking across the board, except for HP, ATK and SPD, thus making fists the ideal weapon for them. Axes are also good, since they have S rank weapon mastery in that, too. Their unique Evility allows them to throw units or objects over and over, as long as they don’t move, since it doesn’t take their action. They also have some common Evilities to complements their throwing-prowess, as well as making it so Tower skills/attacks do more damage.

Evilities

The Wrestler’s unique Evility is called Pro Tosser and if they throw someone without moving themselves, then it won’t count as an action. If done right, they can toss characters across the map very easily, then do something else as an action after the fact. Pro Tosser is primarily a utility Evility. Attack Mastery increases the unit’s ATK aptitude by 10% and is pretty much a waste of a slot, since you could potentially increase it by that much with one or two visits to Chara World in the endgame. To make the Wrestler a better thrower, you can put both Powered Throw and Vacuum Lift on him.

The former will increase the throw range by two, while the latter increases the lift range by two. While lift range isn’t as good as throwing distance, it could come in handy in a couple of situations, where you might be surrounded by enemies. Standing Suplex makes it so while lifting something, all damage you receive will be decreased by 30%. The in-game description is a bit off, as it makes it sound like the damage you receive while lifting an enemy is decreased, but that damage is still the same. Captain Tower will increase the damage dealt by tower attacks and skills by 50%, so if you use those mechanics, then you will deal extra damage with them.

Evility Slots Effect Req
Pro Tosser Unique When performing a throw without moving, it will not count as an action Default
Attack Mastery 2 ATK aptitude increases by 10% Rank 2 Wrestler
Powered Throw 4 Increases throw range by 2 Rank 3 Wrestler
Vacuum Lift 4 Increases lift range by 2 Rank 4 Wrestler
Standing Suplex 4 While lifting something, decreases damage taken by 30% Rank 5 Wrestler
Captain Tower 3 Increases damage dealt by tower attacks and skills by 50% Rank 6 Wrestler
