Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

Warrior

By
Jarrod Garripoli
Portrait Description
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance Screenshot There is one occupation for demons who want to fight on battlefields throughout the Netherworlds. They are accepted by the God of War, Grandall, and are highly skilled in combat. Warriors wear light gear to enhance mobility, and they have the ability to harden their bodies.

The Warrior is one of the first classes you will have available to you, as it is accessed from the beginning of the game. This class is a frontline fighter, with an emphasis on HP, ATK and DEF. Their best weapons are Swords, Spears and Axes, although they don’t really excel at any of them. The main Evility for the Warrior class is Wild Cry, which increases their stats by 15% for each adjacent enemy unit. That means the most they can get from this Evility is an extra 60% increase to their stats. They are a pretty simple class that just gets in the face of their enemies and deals damage.

Evilities

As previously mentioned, the Warrior’s unique Evility is called War Cry, increasing his stats by 15% per adjacent enemy. That means the Warrior excels at close-ranged combat, since the more enemies next to him, the stronger he gets. If you wish to complement this, you can add any Evilities that increase their stats and/or focus on single-target damage. The latter is especially useful if you plan on using Axes with the Warrior, as they are mostly single-target skills. Muscle Mastery simply increases the unit’s HP Aptitude by 10%, with this kind of Evility being present in a lot of the lesser humanoid classes.

Power Axe increases the damage done by 10%, as long as an axe is equipped. If you use an axe, then it might be a good idea to have this equipped. Fighting Instinct increases the Revenge Gauge gain by 50%, meaning that the character with this will be entering Revenge Mode more often, which is always a good thing. Shaking Excitement increases the unit’s stats by the number of enemies on the map x3%. This can be good for maps with a lot of enemies, but as you cut through them all, your stats will start to decrease, so it’s kind of like a double-edged sword. Super Guts decreases the damage taken by 5% for every 5% HP lost. It maxes out at 50%, though, so under you go under half health, it’s not going to increase anymore.

Evility Slots Effect Req
War Cry Unique Increase stats by 15% per adjacent enemy
Muscle Mastery 2 HP Aptitude increased by 10% Rank 2 Warrior
Power Axe 2 Increases damage by 10% when an axe is equipped Rank 3 Warrior
Fighting Instinct 3 Revenge Gauge gain is increased by 50% Rank 4 Warrior
Shaking Excitement 4 Increases unit’s stats by number of enemy units on map x 3% Rank 5 Warrior
Super Guts 4 For every 5% HP lost, decreases damage taken by 5% (max 50%) Rank 6 Warrior
