During the settlement quest Blame and Sail, you’ll need to decide who is right between Gudrun and Holger. The dispute is similar to the one during Mane and Tail, in that Holger has taken something without asking. Initially, you’ll have two dialogue choices, but it won’t matter what you say as Sigurd will intervene.
Gudrun Is Right or Holger Is Right…¶
It doesn’t matter which of these you choose. Sigurd will arrive and assume judgement. Sigurd will insist that Holger pays Gudrun thirty sailcloths, and that if he doesn’t pay it, he will be exiled. Even Gudrun thinks this is unreasonable, but Sigurd will insist. At this point, you’ll have two more dialogue choices:
“This judgement is unfair.”¶
If you choose this option, Eivor will state that the judgement is cruel and unfair. Sigurd will explode in anger, and insist that his word is law.
“I support Sigurd’s judgement.”¶
Eivor states that Sigurd’s word is law, whether or not they agree.
