Children of Danu Order: How to Find The Ash¶
Investigate the Ritual Site Between Lough Rea and Lough Tuam in Connacht¶
The first clue to finding The Ash is indicated in the Children of Danu Order menu after defeating The Wren. It prompts Eivor to investigate the druidic ritual site on the hill midway between Lough Rea and Lough Tuam, in Connacht. The exact location of the site is shown in the screenshot below. Once there, you’ll find the clue in the centre of the site, on top of some rocks surrounded by skulls.
Investigate Kiltober, Southeast of Rathcroghan in Connacht¶
Once you’ve looted the clue from the ritual site, it’ll indicate that you should investigate a site known as Kiltober, located just northeast of the hill where you found the clue, or southeast of Rathcroghan. The clue can be found on a table in a white tent within the druid camp, and is guard by an Elite Fire Druid. These can be a pain to deal with, but so long as you have the element of surprise you can take them out from afar, or just burst through them with any high damage special ability. Once you have the clue, the identity of The Ash will be revealed as High Druid Cummascach.
Find and Kill High Druid Cummascach at Kesh Corann¶
Now that you’ve revealed the identity of The Ash, you’ll be able to locate them at Kesh Corann, a druid hideout located northwest of Rathcroghan. You’ll need to destroy the barricade at the entrance to the hideout with the Incendiary Powder Trap ranged ability. Alternatively, you can take a fire pot from nearby to blast it open that way. Once inside you’ll need to climb down two ladders and then follow the path south. When you reach a locked door turn west. Here you’ll find a crack in the wall, leading to a hidden room where Cummascach resides. You’ll have to fight Cummascach and a Venomous Druid, both of whom can apply a passive poison to Eivor with each hit. We strongly recommend using your high damage abilities to end the fight as quickly as possible. Be sure to confirm the kill on Cummascach when they’re defeated.
