This Trial of the Wolf can be triggered at the meditation area in Snotinghamscire but the trial itself is located within an imaginary Odin Mine Hideout.
How to Get the Gold Medal¶
Trial of the Wolf Objectives¶
To earn the gold medal for the Trial of the Wolf at Odin Mine Hideout, you need to earn the following points for each objective, which amount to the perfect score of 1,000 points combined.
Objective | Mastery Points |
---|---|
Headshot kills | 476 |
Weak points hit | 348 |
Kill the Targets | 176 |
During this trial you’ll need to masterfully shoot at specific body parts to earn objective points. Most importantly, you’ll want to aim to headshot every single enemy and shoot at almost every enemy’s weak point.
How to get Weak Point Hits¶
Hitting weak points is vital to not only racking up points but also in helping you get headshots. If you have the Bow Stun Finisher skill unlocked in the skill tree then you’ll be able to trigger a stun attack by shooting weak points. This allows you to slowly aim a powerful shot right at the enemies’ heads, making headshots a lot easier to achieve!
Enemy Weak Points¶
Over half of the enemies in this trial are archers, so their weak points will be on one of their forearms. You’ll likely find it easier to shoot their forearms when they aren’t in the middle of also trying to shoot you so being a bit stealthy may be advantageous.
The few melee enemies in the trial have weak points on their right shin which is a bigger area and easier to hit. You might have trouble hitting it if they’re running towards you or in close range. Again, being a bit stealthy and trying not to alert people to your whereabouts will be helpful in hitting those weak points and triggering those all important stun attacks.
How to Get Headshots¶
As previously stated, hitting weak points is very important to not only earning objective points but also in helping you get those headshots. You’ll want to make sure that your headshots are the killing blow so use the red bar above their head to gauge whether it’ll do enough damage. You’ll also find that if an arrow hits an oil vase or causes the enemy to fall off a ledge then you run the risk of the enemy dying via fall damage or fire damage rather than the headshot. So make every shot count!
