This mystery, a legendary animal fight with two lynx, can be found in the southwest of Hamtunscire, at The Dark Weald, southwest of the city of Wincestre.
How to Defeat the Wildcats of the Weald¶
You’ll be facing two lynx during this fight: an Elder Lynx, and a Young Lynx. The fight will begin as soon as you enter the circular region of their territory. Although both can be incredibly swift, it is actually relatively easily to avoid most of their attacks just by running away from them with a regular sprint. This makes the fight incredibly easy so long as you keep moving, except when you have a chance to shoot at the lynx. You’ll find weak points for the Elder Lynx on its left hind leg and its right front leg. For the Young Lynx, you’ll find them on the right hind leg and the left side of its torso.
You’ll need to look out for when both lynx use their red rune aura attacks, which you won’t be able to parry or block. Instead, you should be ready to dodge, roll, or sprint away from the attacks as soon as you see the red aura and the rune above the lynx. Both lynx will sometimes briefly fight each other, during which time they inflict minor damage to each other. A charge attack from both lynx will almost always proceed from this small fight between them, so be ready to move out of the way. You can try to hit weak points as they’re fighting, but you may find it difficult without using Focus of the Nornir to slow down time.
Although the lynx can move quickly, the fact that most of their attacks at the end of a charge has a brief warning in the form of a raised paw makes it easy to avoid almost every attack. You can essentially pick and choose your method of attack immediately after avoiding a charge. You can also easily dart around both lynx without being hit by using dodge, so long as you keep an eye on the raised paws, which indicate an incoming attack.
