This quest begins once you have pledged to Lincolnscire from the alliance map in your longhouse at Ravensthorpe. This time you don’t need to travel far initially to begin the arc. Instead, just go to the docks in Ravensthorpe to meet the Saxon named Hunwald.
Speak with Hunwald¶
As you approach Hunwald you’ll hear him speaking with some of the residents of Ravensthorpe. It’s worth waiting nearby to hear all that he has to say for an amusing exchange. When you’re ready, approach Hunwald to begin a brief cutscene. When Hunwald announces his desire to meet Eivor, respond as you wish: it won’t impact the outcome. There will be a number of other dialogue options following this, but as before you can choose whatever suits your role playing preferences. When the conversation is over, you’ll need to meet with Hunwald at Botolphston, a village in Lincolnscire far to the northeast.
Travel to Botolphston¶
When you arrive in Botolphston, you’ll find Hunwald waiting for you in the longhouse, located in the north of the village. Enter the longhouse and approach Hunwald at the back to begin a cutscene.
During the cutscene with Hunwald you’ll have a few dialogue options. Go through these as you choose. After the first set, you’ll be approached by two Saxons who want a fight. Here you can choose to engage them in a fist fight to see them off, pay them in silver to calm the situation, or if you have 3 Charisma, you can convince them that fighting Eivor is unwise. Whatever you choose, once the Saxons are dealt with the cutscene will end and you’ll have to go outside (west) to protect Hunwald from the guards. Since you have the element of surprise on your side, you can begin the fight with an assassination.
Once the Saxon guards are dead, speak with Hunwald on the floor. After the brief scene, the quest will end.
