Trial of the Raven - How to Get Highest Mastery Points

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This Trial of the Raven can be triggered at the meditation area in Snotinghamscire but the trial itself is located within an imaginary Odin Mine Hideout.

How to Get the Gold Medal

Trial of the Raven Objectives

To earn the gold medal for the Trial of the Raven at Odin Mine Hideout, you need to earn the following points for each objective, which amount to the perfect score of 1,000 points combined.

Objective Mastery Points
Air Assassinations 702
Remain anonymous 200
Eliminate all the guards 98

The tricky part about this trial is that all assassinations must be air assassinations, meaning your positioning is crucial. Below you’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to complete this trial, however, it’ll be up to players to make sure they assess the guards’ movement and line of sight to make sure they aren’t caught during their assassinations. Because you want to be remaining anonymous, you shouldn’t worry too much about the fact that you’re not wearing any armor, as you shouldn’t be fighting any enemies in close combat anyway.

The Trial of the Raven at Odin Mine Hideout requires that you stealthily air assassinate all enemies.

How to Remain Anonymous and Assassinate all Enemies

This trial is a lot more linear than the Lolingestone Bandit Camp Trial of the Raven, but it can still be tricky since the enemies’ positioning can make it easy to get caught and end your anonymity.

The first enemy is easy to air assassinate as he’s standing directly below the wooden platform that you begin the trial on. From there you’ll want to run quickly up the wall to the right and hop onto an elevated platform where you’ll need to wait for the guard up ahead to come and scout out his friend’s dead body. When he’s close to the body (near the bush), jump down to air assassinate him. This next enemy is a bit tricky because if your timing was a bit off then he might catch you in the act of assassinating, but if the second enemy is killed too far away then he may never come over to investigate the scene. Killing him near the bush is the best option as it seems to be the right amount of distance to not get caught too early but close enough that he goes to check a few moments later. You should then run up back onto the elevated platform to perform another air assassination - this is definitely tricky as the window of time to move out of sight is very small.

In the next area you’ll have three enemies that you can assassinate from the air. The first one is relatively simple as he’s right next to a wall you can climb up. Watch out for the two guards that are nearby though as they might spot you if you don’t time it correctly. Quickly head back up onto the wooden wall and take the rope over towards the guard to the right who you can then air assassinate. You can then swiftly head up the rock wall to the right which has a rope that takes you back to the central platform where you can then air assassinate the third enemy.

In the next area you’ll be able to assassinate two enemies, who again can be killed via air assassinations. Once again, you’ll want to take a moment to assess the situation and memorise their movements and paths, as well as their line of sight.

In the final area you’ll have two more enemies to air assassinate. You’ll want to assassinate the one to the left first, whilst watching the movement of the enemy up ahead. Finally, head back up onto the platform to assassinate the final enemy and complete the trial.

(1 of 2) as you prepare to exclusively air assassinate all enemies.
