How to Complete Riding for Glory¶
How to Get the Gold Medal¶
To get the gold medal, you don’t actually need to successfully destroy every barrier or target, but you do need to ride through each checkpoint. You’ll need to look carefully to see where the course leads as you ride through it, and it may take a couple of attempts before you become familiar enough with the course to find every checkpoint without having to stop. With that said, you shouldn’t feel pressured to keep riding at all times. You should have plenty of time to stop and check exactly where you need to go, so you don’t need to worry about running out of time.
To ensure that you always have enough time to run the course, you’ll need to make sure that you shoot as many targets as possible as you come across them. Although it’s possible to smash into every target with your horse, you’ll be stopped briefly each time you do and you may run off course. Instead, you should use your bow to hit as many of the targets and obstacles blocking the checkpoints as possible.
Once you’ve got the basics of how the course works in terms of destroying obstacles at checkpoints and shooting as many wooden targets as possible, you should find it relatively easy to get the gold medal. Just remember that you don’t need to rush through each check point if you’ve accrued plenty of time on the clock. The worst thing you can do here is miss a checkpoint, so the most important thing is to make sure that you go through every checkpoint by checking exactly where it is in relation to the one before it. Since every checkpoint is marked with a quest icon, you shouldn’t find it too difficult to reach the next, so long as you’re looking for the quest marker.
