This quest begins immediately after War Weary. As part of the war effort against King Rhodri, Eivor has been tasked with stealing cargo from Wenlocan Outpost. You’ll find the outpost southwest of Quatford.
Find Wenlocan Outpost¶
The easiest way to get to Wenlocan Outpost if you’ve already completed The Supply Line and therefore synchronized with the point at Hill Gate Remnants, is by fast travelling there. You’ll find Wenlocan Outpost just to the east of Hill Gate Remnants, as shown below. Once there, make your way east down the hill slopes. You’ll eventually reach a cliff edge, which you can climb down to the outskirts of Wenlocan Outpost. At this point you should use Odin’s Sight to highlight the location of any nearby enemies. You can also use this to identify the locations of the cargo within the outpost.
Loot the Cargo & Other Wealth¶
As with the objectives at Dhustone Quarry during The Supply Line, you can choose to take a stealth approach or just run in as you please, stealing the cargo as you go. Either way, you’ll need to take out the Briton forces within the outpost, and the prisoners within the cages can help you with this task. Many of the guards in this outpost will be wielding a dagger in each hand, and can be quite tricky to hit at times in regular melee combat. However, a swift arrow to the head or a stealth assassination will take them out instantly, so we recommend doing this whenever possible.
You’ll find the prisoners in the main cave marked by a wooden structure surrounding its entrance, with banners on either side. You’ll also find two cargo chests in here, with the rest scattered around the camp on the wooden platforms and in a smaller cave to the east. Once you have all the cargo the quest will complete, but there’s one more thing to find here before you leave. If you killed everyone in the outpost, you would have killed a Skirmisher and looted a Nickel Ingot from him. If you haven’t, seek him out to obtain the ingot. He’ll have a gold icon above his head, so you’ll know which one to look for.
The other item is a unique armor piece, which you’ll find in a chest at the back of a cave to the left of the main cave where you found the prisoners. Looking at the entrance to the main cave from the outside, you’ll see the smaller cave entrance to the south. Go inside and move the stone barricade blocking the way further into the cave. At the back of this cave you’ll find a treasure chest which contains the unique Brigandine Helm. With this looted, don’t forget to loot any of the remaining minor treasure chests, including the one on the wooden canopy which contains a piece of rare Fabric. You can reach this by climbing the rope and tree branches to the west of it.
