This page details everything you need to know about how to begin The Last Chapter DLC in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. We’ll cover the unlock conditions that you need to complete before you can access the DLC, and where to go to start it. We will also briefly touch on some of the content introduced, including a preview of the Assassin’s Creed Mirage character character named Roshan, voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo.
How to Start The Last Chapter DLC in AC Valhalla¶
The Last Chapter DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has released before schedule, a full week early in fact! This brief content update aims to provide some closure for the character and journey of Eivor, the main protagonist of the game. In this update you’ll get a glimpse into the Assassin’s Creed Mirage story, with both Basim and the new character Roshan each making an appearance. There is also a tease that a much older character from the franchise may have a part to play in AC Mirage, but we won’t spoil who that is.
However, before you can access any of this new content, you need to make sure that you’ve completed the following parts of the game. If you’ve done all of the below, you can go to Ravensthorpe to begin one of two new quests: The Raven and the Cuckoo, and Last Goodbyes.
Complete the Main Story of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla¶
The first thing you need to make sure that you’ve completed before you can gain access to The Last Chapter DLC is all of the main story content. This means completing the story arcs for Norway, Ledecestrescire, Grantebridgescire, East Anglia, Oxenefordscire, Lunden, Sciropescire, Cent, Essexe, Lincolnscire, Suthsexe, Vinland, Jorvik, Eurvicscire, Glowecestrescire, Snotinghamscire, Wincestre, and Hamtunscire. We’ve linked to each of the main story arcs associated with these regions in the table below, just in case you’re missing any.
Region | Story Arc |
---|---|
Norway | Battle for the Northern Way |
Ledecestrescire | The Kingmaker’s Saga |
Grantebridgescire | The Song of Soma |
East Anglia | The Tale of Thegn Oswald |
Oxenefordscire | The Paladin’s Stone |
Lunden | The City of War |
Sciropescire | The Book of Dragons |
Cent | The Instrument of the Ancients |
Essexe | A Breviary of Broken Hearts |
Lincolnscire | The Lay of Hunwald |
Suthsexe | The Siege of Portcestre |
Vinland | Vinland Saga |
Jorvik | The City of Greed |
Eurvicscire | The Sayings of Halfdan |
Glowecestrescire | A Tale of Wicker-Fire |
Snotinghamscire | The Tale of Two Jarls |
Wincestre | The City of Faith |
Hamtunscire | The Prophecies of the King |
Complete the Asgard and Jotunheim Story Arcs¶
In addition to the main story arc for each region of Norway, England, and Vinland, you will also need to complete the mythological arcs as Odin in Asgard and Jotunheim, as linked below. You can begin this story arc by visiting Valka at her hut in Ravensthorpe.
Region | Story Arc |
---|---|
Asgard | The Fate of the High One |
Jotunheim | The Saga of the Snows |
Defeat all 45 Order of the Ancients Members¶
The Order of the Ancients is the other part of the main story that you will need to complete to access The Last Chapter DLC. You will likely encounter some of these members as you go through the main story arcs, but others you will need to hunt down individually. There are different types of Order of the Ancients members, including Zealots, Wardens of War, Wardens of Law, Wardens of Wealth, Wardens of Faith, and one Warden of Relics. The final order member is a mystery for most of the story, but you will encounter them towards the end, so this one is unmissable. We’ve provided an overview for each of these categories and links to their pages explaining how to find them below.
Upgrade the Ravensthorpe Settlement to Level 5 and Construct the Jomsviking Barracks¶
Finally, outside of the main story arcs, the last thing you need to do before you can access The Last Chapter DLC is to upgrade the Ravensthorpe settlement to level 5. You can do this by constructing most of the buildings available, with the Jomsviking Barracks being essential due to its function in a quest later on. You will need to acquire a lot of Supplies and Raw Materials to construct most buildings, which you can get from raiding and exploring. To learn more about the settlement levels and buildings, see our Settlement Levels & Buildings page.
