By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on how to find and catch the Scarlet Paradox Pokémon Scream Tail in Pokémon Scarlet.

Scream Tail.

What is Scream Tail?

Scream Tail is a Scarlet exclusive Paradox Pokémon found in Area Zero. Paradox Pokémon are Pokémon that are exclusive to the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game. They resemble pre-existing Pokémon but have different move sets and types. Scarlet Paradox Pokémon are Ancient whilst Violet’s are futuristic.

You will only be able to capture Paradox Pokémon once you’ve got access to Area Zero - the crater at the center of the Paldea Region. You’ll have access to this area once you’ve completed the three story paths:

Once you’ve finished the story quest in Area Zero, you’ll also be able to return at any time by fast travelling to the Zero Gate.

How to Find & Catch Scream Tail

Scream Tail are pretty common and can be found in the open areas of the crater and in the cave area too! There are loads around Research Station No.1 and No.2. Depending on where you catch them, the Scream Tails will be anywhere from Lv 54 to 58. Sometimes they can be a bit stubborn so we like to use "Ultra Ball" iconUltra Balls to make extra sure we catch them!

Scream Tails are found out in the open and in the cave region!
