In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you can spend time with the various teachers at Naranja/Uva Academy and increase your bond with them, with Tyme’s Pokémon Academy bond playing a part. This page will detail how to max Miriam’s Bond and get the reward from her quest.
Tyme Pokémon Academy Bond Building¶
Like most Teachers in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, missing Tyme’s Pokémon Academy bond building is easy to do. Most players are guilty of getting stuck into the three main questlines, shiny hunting, hunting down Tera Raids and more, but it’s worth going back to School.
Maxing out Miriam’s Pokémon Academy bond will reap its rewards with rare or expensive items like other Teachers. This in-game mechanic is a nice change of pace for trainers and delivers the drop of immersion that’s been missing from recent Pokémon titles to a degree.
As a general rule, you’ll want to clear all of that teacher’s classes and ace the midterm and final. Each event usually takes place during this, but it’s much easier to do that first and then you can do all teacher events at once without having to check back. Once you’ve completed all of Ms. Tyme’s Mathematics classes, you can then get to work on maxing her bond with the following steps:
How to Increase Friendship with Tyme¶
Step 1¶
Trainers can kick off Tyme’s Pokémon Academy bond building quest by finding her in the Staff Room. She’ll ask a question regarding Rock-Type moves being effective against Flying-Type Pokémon. Although a good trainer should know this already, but they should answer that damage is doubled.
Step 2¶
For this step, trainers should head to the Entrance Hall to find Tyme standing at the base of the right-hand side stair case. Have a good chat with her to build up that Tyme Pokémon Academy bond.
Step 3¶
Providing trainers have completed all of the Academy exams, Tyme can be found next in the Cafeteria. She’s next to the stove on the left-hand side, so have a chat and gain her trust.
Step 4¶
Finally, trainers need to head over to the Schoolyard to find Tyme handing around the Schoolyard equipment. Once trainers have a chat with her, she’ll hand over 50 Rock Tera Shards. Close bonds seriously work out!
Rock Tera Shards and other types can be found by fighting the desired type in Tera Raid battles. We’d reccomend a strong Water or Grass type Tera Raid build for this such as Azumarill or Slowbro.
