You may be surprised to learn that Slowbro is a Tera Raid star. This is because the Water/Psychic-type Pokemon is the perfect typing to tear through Cinderace. On top of this, Slowbro has high defense, and you can easily catch one in the wild to take into battle with you. Below we go over where to get your very own Slowbro, the best nature for Slowbro, and how to build them to take on Cinderace in a solo match. Here’s everything you need to know in this Slowbro Cinderace Build.
How to Obtain Slowbro in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet¶
Slowpoke will naturally evolve into Slowbro at level 37. With that being said, you are likely looking for a higher level Slowbro to use in the current raid. If you want to guarantee a powerful Slowbro, then you can find a Tera Slowbro in Casseroya Lake. In addition to this special Pokemon, you can also catch normal Slowbro in Casseroya Lake which will all be around level 50.
You will want to try to pick up a Slowbro with a Modest nature and a psychic Tera Type. Beyond that, you can use EV training to customize the Pokemon and make it perfect for taking on Cinderace.
How to Build our Slowbro Cinderace Build¶
There are three moves that you need to ensure that your Slowbro has for this raid.
All three of these moves are learned from TMs. You can either find or craft these TMs; the chart below is here to help you obtain them.
Move Name | Where To Find | How to Craft |
---|---|---|
Iron Defense | East Providence Area One | 3x Bronzor Fragment and 3x Pineco Husk |
Nasty Plot | Area Zero | 3x Spiritomb Fragment, 3x Meowth Fur, and 3x Tatsugiri Scales |
Stored Power | Casseroay Lake and North Providence Area One | 3x Gothita Eyelash and 3x Ralts Dust |
After you have your Slowbro’s move set, you will want to equip him with Leftovers to help regain health during the battle. You can purchase Leftovers at the Cascarrafa Delibird Presents. You will also want to pick up some bottlecaps and use them to EV Train your Slowbro’s Health and Special Attack. To do this, head to Montenerva and speak with the NPC located behind the Pokemon Center, and we have an in-depth guide on Hyper Training if you fancy learning more about that feature.
Ideally, your Slowbro will be leveled to 100 for this raid. Once all your stats are maxed out and your Slowbro is leveled up. You will be able to take on Cinderace without a worry.
How to Solo The Seven Star Cinderace Tera Raid with Slowbro¶
To solo the Raid, simply get your Slowbro ready and jump in to face Cinderace. You’re going to want to follow the pattern below to solo Cinderace. Once you do, you should be able to Knock him out within two hits of Stored Power.
- Use Iron Defense Three Times.
- Use Nasty Plot Three Times.
- Use Stored Power to Finish Cinderace Off.
Be sure to use Terastalize on your Slowbro at the start of the battle to give it an extra power boost. Once you’ve done all that correctly and used the items we’ve recommended picking up, the Slowbro Cinderace Build should bring you victory!
