This page offers a guide on how to complete the Gym Test for the Ice Gym in Glaseado in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet (SV).
After you’ve completed the Ice Gym Test, you’ll be able to take on the Ice Gym Leader. Head over to our guide on How to Defeat the Ice Gym Leader Grusha for more information.
How to Start the Ice Gym Test¶
Before you can start the Ice Gym Test, you’ll need to actually find Glaseado Gym! The Ice Gym can be found atop Glaseado Mountain. You’ll want to head to the peak to find the Ice Gym from the Ghost Gym, so fast travel to Montenevera. From there head out of the arch to the south and follow the path until you cross the bridge. Then, head up the path that’s going up the hill until you reach Glaseado Gym.
Once you’ve arrived, head into the Gym Center and speak with the receptionist. He’ll tell you to head out and go up the slope to the left to begin the Snow Slope Run. Your task will be to ride Koraidon/Miraidon down the slope within the designated time limit.
How to Complete the Snow Slope Run¶
Head up the slope, as instructed, and speak with the speak with the man near the snowman.
This challenge is very easy - all you need to do is steer your mount into the rainbow triangles between the flags. And you need to do all this within 1 minute and 30 seconds, which is definitely a generous amount of time. We did it in about 40 seconds!
If you feel like you’re going too fast, you can slow down slightly by pulling back on the analog stick. But other than that, you’ll find that the 17 goal posts are easy to get through so long as you’re not pelting it down the hill. Remember, 1 minute 30 seconds is plenty of time to get to to the end so no need to rush!
Once you’re at the end you’ll have concluded this gym test and you’ll be able to face Gym leader Grusha!
