How to Easily Change Your Pokemon’s Name in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet¶

To change your Pokemon’s names, you don’t need to find a special NPC. Instead, just follow the simple steps below to rename your Pokemon.

1. Press to open up your main menu.
2. Go to your Pokemon and press .
3. Go to their summary and press .
4. Hit , this will bring
5. This will bring up the menu. Simply type in your name and confirm it!

You can only change the name of the Pokemon currently in your party. You can’t change the name of the Pokemon you traded for, and there are words that are blocked by the profanity filter that will be restricted.
