Now you have gotten to World Tier 3, you will have noticed that you are getting new items called Ancestral items. This tier of item affects the stats on all drops with the Sacred marker, typically around 300 armor and attack power higher than the normal version of gear at the same level. If you choose to wear those slots, and fancy upgrading them, you will need a crafting item called the Forgotten Souls. Here’s everything you need to know about Diablo 4’s Forgotten Souls resource.
How to get Diablo 4’s Forgotten Souls Resource¶
Diablo 4’s Forgotten Souls is a resource that you will only find on World Tier 3. This resource typically comes from breaking down Sacred Gear at a Blacksmith or from events you can participate in on World Tier 3.
One of the best places to go event hunting for this resource is during a Helltide. There will be little events scattered around Helltide marked regions of the map, with the chests at the end of the event awarding players with a variety of items. Most of the time, it is Aberrant Cinders, the Helletide currency, while sometimes, you can get materials drop from them, including Forgotten Souls.
In addition, you can also get them from the Helltide boxes that you spend your Aberrant Cinders on. These chests target specific items you can loot from the boxes, granting target farming methods. Inside, you can get a lot of random rewards too, with the target farm item you want from it. In some instances, it means you can pull Forgotten Souls from them. In addition to other resources like Baleful Fragments, Coiling Wards, Abstruse Sigils, and even Fiend Rose can come from these chests too, which all affect enchanting and crafting results on legendary pieces of gear.
And there you have it, you know know how you can farm Forgotten Souls in Diablo 4.
