Diablo 4 Omnipower Heart: Details, Farm, & More

By
Craig Robinson

The Omnipower Heart is the Sorcerer’s big World Tier 4 Wrathful Malignant Heart. This power grants the user a major trade-off, allowing the player to consume their entire mana bar for some empowered skill damage and additional projectiles. In some instances, you can get a lot of significant effects, and so, it can make for some rather interesting builds for the Sorcerer. Below, we will go through some of the interactions and farming methods for the Omnipower Heart in Diablo 4.

Everything you need to know about the Omnipower Heart in Diablo 4

Fireball players will likely find the new Omnipower Heart in Diablo 4 exciting with their go-to unique, Image via Blizzard Entertainment.

Those of you who opt to use the "Omnipower" iconOmnipower Heart in Diablo 4 will find that this heart is very build-altering. Depending on the role, and your mana consumption, you will generate a lot more additional spell effects for the playstyle. When you fire the additional projectiles, they tend to arc in a cone, which you must consider for your accuracy as you play this build. It means for things like Ice Shards or Chain Lightning; accuracy is key. Whereas something like Frozen Orb, Fire Ball or "Arc Lash" iconArc Lash will have a much better time.

In addition, the mana cost for spells like Arc Lash and Fireball are also much lower, so it is possible to get even more projectiles out using these core skills. Fireball costs 35 mana base, while Arc Lash is 30 mana base. It means if you have the base 100 mana, then you can cast another 2 projectiles alongside it. If it means that if you can get another 20 mana on your resource from gear or manage to lower your mana reduction lower enough, that’s another extra attack per spell cast when at full mana.

Now, another thing to note is the cone arc of the additional conjured projectiles from the Heart’s effect. Arc Lash is likely the best-case scenario to use with this heart, thanks to it being much easier to aim with when in Close proximity to enemies. It means the Arc Lashes are much less likely to wander off and miss their target, meaning you don’t lose DPS on this heart, unlike other spells. This is a big factor in determining if this Heart is worth if for your build or not.

On the other hand, the Fireball build has a unique item called the "Staff of Endless Rage" iconStaff of Endless Rage. This item’s unique modifier is “Every 3rd cast of Fireball launches 2 additional projectiles.” So, when you get your third cast of Fireball and the Omnipower heart procs, it also means that the projectiles add on. So that’s likely 2-3 Fireballs all syncing up, meaning that’s either 6 or 9 Fireballs going out simultaneously. That’s some serious gimmicky yet awesome mobbing power and synergy. So, if you’re someone running a Crit-themed fire build and use Fireball, this is likely a combination you want.

However, we are not too sure if this will outpace the Barber, as a lot of Sorcerer Builds in Season 1 scale with Crit damage, such as Crit Meteor and Fire builds, including Crit-themed Lightning Builds. If your build prefers Crit opportunities, then "The Barber" iconThe Barber is likely the better option unless you find the item clunky to use, then Omnipower is a good shout, then.

How To Farm The Omnipower Heart in Diablo 4

Most Malignant Tunnels have several Corrupted Elites you need to beat, offering a few guaranteed Heart farms per run. There’s potential you can get Omnipower from this method, with no resource wasting on gambling for a drop.

The first thing you need to know about this Heart is that the item is a World Tier 4 drop for the Sorcerer. This means that if you intend to farm this item, you will need to beat the capstone dungeon for World Tier 3, move into World Tier 4, and then start farming properly for the full inventory of Wrathful Hearts.

To make it easier to farm, we recommend spending your Smoldering Ashes on the seasonal buff, as that increases your Heart drop chances for the rare hearts slightly. After that, you can get benefits for rolling Uncertain Hearts and also get better opportunities for looting rarer Caged Hearts from the Echo of Varshan fight too.

Outside those farms, you will repeatedly do Malignant Heart Farms in Tunnels. Go to any Tunnel of your choice, and run the Tunnel, taking care of all Corrupted Elites. Each Elite has a chance to spawn as a Wrathful enemy, and some drop a random Caged Heart that is Wrathful. Once again, your Smoldering Ashes season buff comes into play here, offering better opportunities at The Barber and the Omnipower for Sorc players. However, there is a low chance that will happen, so kill the Elites, get their Hearts, and then scrap them for Ichor later.

You can convert into gamba opportunities for Uncertain Hearts and Invokers when you get enough Ichor. Invokers are decent for target farming specific Heart types from the Outgrowths in Tunnels. Wrathful Invokers are resource-heavy but offer better luck at getting the Wrathful Heart. So, know there are pros and cons for each way to farm the Omnipower Heart.

With that said, you now know how the Omnipower Heart in Diablo 4 works, how well it works, what build it cooperates with, and how to farm it. Good luck grabbing this Heart if you want it and enjoy the rest of Season 1 of Diablo 4.
