How to Find Elias, Fallen Horadrim in Act V¶
Before you can fight Elias, Fallen Horadrim you’ll need to progress through the game until you reach the Main Quest On The Precipice which takes place at the end of Act V. Here you’ll want to enter the Foul Undercrypts Dungeon then, you’ll have to face Elias one last time!
Elias, Fallen Horadrim (Act V) Boss Strategy¶
You’ll notice that Elias will use some different attacks compared to the fight that took place in Act 3. You’re located in a fairly open battlefield, so you have plenty of room to move about and avoid his attacks. Elias has three main attacks you need be aware of and you can learn all about them below:
- Homing Projectiles
The most common attack that Elias will use throughout the battle is homing projectiles that he’ll shoot out from his staff. If you get hit, then you’ll only take a little bit of damage, but as there are multiple it’ll build up. Simply keep dodging around the battlefield until it disappears.
- Blood Spawn
Throughout the battle you’ll see red circles spawn on the ground and explode. Standing in this won’t deal any damage to you, but it will summon ads, so make sure you take them down quickly before focusing on Elias.
- Blood Shockwave
Once you’ve taken Elia’s health past the first threshold he’ll start unleashing blood shockwaves which will deal damage to you and will push you back if you stand in them. These are easy to avoid as its AoE marker will display on the ground before it goes off. However, as Elias gets closer to death these shockwaves will cover most of the floor, so you’ll want to stand in the tiny gaps to avoid it.
Elias is a pretty simple battle to deal with as long as you don’t get too greedy and you save your dodge ability to get away from certain attacks. The best way to take him down is to go in for a few hits, then get back and use your dodge ability when the Homing Projectiles get close to you before going back in. Additionally, pay close attention to the floor, as you’ll need to look for gaps in the floor to avoid the Blood Shockwave. Finally, make sure you take down the ads when they spawn to avoid having too many attacking you at once.
