The Priceless side quest in Final Fantasy 16 can be acquired in The Hideaway once you reach the Back to Their Origin main quest. Here you’ll find the letter named “Concern for Jill” in Clive’s Chambers. We’ll take you through the necessary steps to completion and to defeating the Oillepheist Bull.
Though her Eikon brought her much suffering, the loss of Shiva weighs heavy on her heart, and we would be poor friends indeed if we did not seek to lighten that burden, even but only a fraction, before we depart for the skies. I would speak on this more in private.
How to Start the Priceless Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16¶
First things first, you’ll need to have completed the main story mission Streets of Madness, and be on Back to Their Origin, then you’ll need to complete the side quest Where There’s a Will. When those requirements have been met, head over to Clive Chambers and interact with the missive and read the message Concern for Jill to begin this quest. You’ll now want to go over to Main Deck and speak with Joshua Rosfield.
Clive and Joshua have noticed that Jill has been sad ever since she lost her Eikon and they’ve decided to come up with a plan to make feel wanted, so Clive remembered a place that Jill loved as a kid because of all of the Snow Daisies. However, before you surprise Jill you’ll need to check if Snow Daisies are still there as it’s been a long time since you last visited the area. So, you’ll want to fast travel to the Hawk’s Cry Cliff Obelisk and head south to reach Mann’s Hill.
Where to Find Snow Daisies in FF16¶
Unfortunately, the Snow Daisies have disappeared which means you’ll need to find an alternative location, so return to the Hideaway and speak with Frederica in the Backyard to see if she knows where you can find them. She thinks the Royal Meadows will have them as the blight hasn’t taken over that area yet, so fast travel to the Northreach Obelisk and head northwest to find the Snow Daisies. Here you’ll come across multiple Worgens and Dragonets, so group them up and use Diamond Dust to make quick work of them.
How to Defeat the Oillepheist Bull¶
Immediately after clearing out the first pack of enemies, Oillepheist Bull will spawn which is an elite enemy, so you’ll want to use Dancing Steel to increase your Zantetsuken Gauge to level 5, then you’ll want to work on staggering it as quickly as possible which shouldn’t be much of a challenge with Diamond Dust to your disposal. Once you’ve successfully staggered it you’ll want to place down Lightning Rod in front of it and activate your Limit Break, then quickly use Zantetsuken along with Gigaflare which will deal around 100k damage.
If the Oillepheist Bull has a little bit of health remaining, then be sure to finish it off when your other skills, such as Gouge and Heatwave. Whilst you’re chipping away at its health you’ll want to watch out for its attacks as they could easily put you at risk of a game over, so be sure to pay close attention to your health and don’t be afraid to use a potion. Below you will find a rundown of what they area and how to avoid them:
- Charge - Throughout the fight Oillepheist Bull charges towards you, so try waiting until it gets close and try to pull of a precision dodge. If you’re using the Shiva Eikon, then use Cold Snap to dodge as this will temporarily freeze it.
- Ground Slam - If you’re standing close to the Oillepheist Bull, then it’ll perform a ground slam, so just avoid standing in front of it and you should be safe.
Once you’ve dealt with all the enemies in the area, return to the Hideaway and speak with Jill in Clive’s Chambers to trigger a scene and the quest will come to a close. Here you’ll be rewarded with the Snow Daisy Garland Curiosity and the Shiva’s Kiss accessory. This reduces the cooldown time for Diamond Dust by 7.5 seconds.
