When you reach the Louder than Words main quest, the boss you will be coming up against next is Chirada. She will be summoned by Benedikta and shouldn’t prove to be a huge challenge. She moves fairly quickly, so here’s some tips and a strategy on how to best clip her wings for good.
How to Beat Chirada in Final Fantasy 16¶
Chirada is a fairly simple boss, as she doesn’t have too many moves, but she is quick, so keep that in mind. You will also find that Chirada doesn’t seem to have much health as others thus far, which means you will likely take her down without realizing that the fight hasn’t taken as long as you might have expected.
All Chirada Attacks in Final Fantasy XVI¶
As mentioned above, Chirada doesn’t have a whole lot of attacks in the battle, but she moves pretty quickly, so here’s what you will see during the fight.
Dashing Burst¶
Chirada will do a little roar, then simply do a quick dash attack straight at you. This is executed pretty quickly, so be on the ready to dodge it. It does seem like she’ll use this more often if you keep away from her.
Dashing Strike¶
While not as quick as the previous attack, Chirada will still charge you in a similar manner, then deliver a diagonal slicing attack with her one leg. While the attack is swift, you should still have enough time to easily dodge it.
Wind Shot¶
Some green lines will appear and Chirada will charge up some energy, then unleash it as a projectile along said lines. You should never really be hit by this, as the target lines appear well before the magic attack is unleashed. If you want, you could try to counter it with Heatwave to get some extra stagger damage.
Leg Stamp¶
Should you stay in close to Chirada for a long period of time, you will likely see her do a crescent-shaped attack with her one leg. Just remember to realize that this attack will almost certainly happen while in melee range, so always be ready to move out of the way.
Spinning Wings¶
There will be a green glow around Chirada, as she folds her wings inwards, onto herself. A few seconds later, she will then spin around and stretch out her wings. As soon as you see her fold her wings, back away from her and wait for the move to finish.
Strategy for the Chirada Boss Fight in FFXVI¶
It’s been already mentioned, but Chirada isn’t that difficult of a boss, mostly because she doesn’t seem to have a lot of health. That means if you keep at it, you could probably defeat her within a single stagger. However, some of the moves are executed pretty quickly, so you will want to stay on your toes so you don’t get hit. It’s also a good idea to get used to Chirada’s attacks, as you will be facing her again later on, with an extra foe joining in on the fun. There’s really not much else to say about this bout, since there’s nothing extra in the battle, like transitions or cinematic stuff.
