The Welcoming Committee side quest in Final Fantasy 16 can be acquired in Lostwing once you reach the Righting Wrongs main quest. Here you’ll find a person named Alain and he’ll ask you to welcome some Bearers to Lostwing. We’ll take you through the necessary steps to completion and where to find the Bearers.
Speak with Alain to begin this quest.
One of Quinten’s underlings enlists the help of Clive to help two new Bearers settle into Lostwing. Apparently, their former master mistreated them terribly, and they’re extremely nervous as a result.
How to Start The Welcoming Committee Side Quest¶
Before you can begin the “Welcoming Committee” Side Quest you’ll need to progress through the game until you reach the Hideaway which should take you around 3 hours if you’re starting from the beginning. For those continuing on from the demo, then it should take you an extra hour. From this point, you’ll need to play for a few more hours until you unlock Alliant Reports in the Main Quest Righting Wrongs, then fast travel to 
Lostwing in 
The Holy Empire of Sanbreque and speak with Alain to begin this quest.
Where to Find The Bearers¶
You’ll be tasked with easing the new 
Bearers into their new home, as they’re finding it difficult to adjust after being treated poorly for many years, so speak with the two Exhausted Bearer who can be found sitting to the right of Alain. Here you’ll discover that they’re both starving, so you need to retrieve some food for them by heading into the inn and speak with the Sobersided Shopkeeper to see what she can find. However, before you do so, be sure to explore the surrounding area for chests, as they may contain Accessories and 
Orchestrions.

After you’ve finished speaking with the Sobersided Shopkeeper, pick up the Bread and Wine from the table and return to the bearers to bring the quest to a close and retrieve your reward of a 
Gil Bug. This item is only purpose is to be sold for 
Gil which can be used for purchasing equipment or potions, so take it to any nearby shop.
