FF16 - Under New Management Side Quest Walkthrough

There are plenty of side quests that will pop up during the second half of the game. Under New Management side quest is one that features the characters from the city of Northreach. The quest tasks you with looking into a Duke who intends to change the way the city runs, and how the people of Northreach feel about him. The guide below goes over how to start Under New Management, where to find all six NPCs you need to talk to finish the quest, and what rewards you will get at the end.

How to Start the Under New Management Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16

This side quest can be started after you have completed the Across The Narrow main story quest. Once this is done, head to "Northreach" iconNorthreach in "The Holy Empire of Sanbreque" iconThe Holy Empire of Sanbreque. You will want to speak with "The Dame" iconThe Dame at "The Veil" iconThe Veil. She will tell you that a new Duke is in town and attempting to turn Northreach into a military stronghold, against the wishes of the people. She will task Clive with talking the Duke out of changing the way that Northreach is run.

How to Find All Six NPCs in Under New Management in FF16

Once you are ready to get started, head across town to the Imperial Training Grounds. Here you will find the Duke in the center of the area. A cutscene will then play, where he tells Clive about his plans, but is interrupted by his daughter. After this, Clive will want to speak with the townsfolk outside of the Northreach wall in the market area. Here you will be speaking with the Alemonger, who you will find in the center of the market, the Chocobokeeper, on the right side of the market if you’re coming from town, and the Inn Hand. You can find her on the left side of the market, at a nearby stall.

Once you’re done, head back into the city to talk with the people around town. Up from The Veil you will find the first NPC sweeping, they are simply titled Townsperson. Next, head back to the Imperial Training Ground and speak with two soldiers, the Cynical Soldier who’s hanging out around the training grounds, and the Serious Soldier, up the stairs at the lookout post.

For the final part of the quest, you will be headed back outside the city near the Royal Meadows. Here, speak with the guard "Philippe" iconPhilippe. Once the cutscene is done, head back to The Veil and tell The Dame your findings. For your troubles, you will receive 2,800 XP, 30 Renown, 1,500 Gil, 15x "Steelsilk" iconSteelsilk, 15x "Bloody Hide" iconBloody Hides, and 1x "Meteorite" iconMeteorite.

Once you reach the main story quest, Back to Their Origin, the follow-up quest Under New Management II will unlock.
