The Beat Rocking Blocks Trophy is one of the combat related trophies that you can unlock in Final Fantasy 16. To obtain it, you need to land the third punch of a Titanic Counter twice in a single battle.
How to Land the Third Punch of a Titanic Counter twice in a Single Battle¶
Let’s take a closer look at what we are up against if we are going to land this punch properly.
How to Unlock Titanic Block¶
The first thing you need before you can attempt this trophy and that is the Titanic Block Ability, so you’ll need to progress through the Main Story until you’ve completed the quest Capital Punishment. During this quest you’ll being going up against Hugo Kupka, so if you need any guidance on how to defeat this foe, then be sure to check out our Capital Punishment Main Quest Walkthrough.
How to Perform Titanic Counter¶
Upon defeating Hugo Kupka you’ll have access to all of Titan’s Abilities which means you can finally perform the Titanic Counter. In order to do this you’ll want to wait until the enemies attack is about to make contact with you and quickly press to trigger the Titanic Counter, then you’ll want to press consecutively three times.
However, for the Beat Rocking Blocks Trophy you’ll need to do this twice in a single battle, so any normal enemy won’t do as you’ll deplete their health too quickly, so you’ll want to look for an elite which is an enemy that has a stagger bar. Alternatively, you can do any of the boss fights but obviously their attacks are a lot harder to counter. If you’re going for the elite enemy approach, then you’ll want to head on over to Three Reeds and then walk down to the hill to find a Bighorn.
Avoid attacking it and instead focus completely on learning its moves to make it easier to pull off the Precision Block. The best time to do this is when its about to ram into you. Once you’ve successfully pulled it off twice, then the trophy will pop! Whilst doing this you may notice that this combo is a great way to deplete the stagger bar, so it’s a recommended strategy against elite enemies.
