The It’s Over 50,000 Trophy is one of the combat related trophies that you can unlock in Final Fantasy 16. To obtain it, you need to build up a total of 50,000 damage during the stagger phase. However, there’s a simple method that you can use to unlock the trophy without needing to use your abilities perfectly.
How to Earn 50,000 Stagger Damage¶
The first thing you need to know is what abilities you’ll need before you can attempt this trophy. We recommend that you play through the story until you’ve completed the main quest Fire in The Sky, as at this point you’ll have access to the Bahamut Abilities. Here you’ll want to save up your AP until you can purchase the ability Gigaflare for 2,730 AP. If you’re wondering what the fastest way to get AP is, then check out our page here - How to Quickly Farm Ability Points in FF16.
Although it is entirely possible to get 50,000 Stagger Damage before getting Gigaflare it is a lot harder as you’ll have to make sure that you have all of your abilities and Limit Break are available during the Stagger Phase. Once you’ve unlocked the Gigaflare you’ll want to equip it immediately along with Lightning Rod and Gouge and follow the steps below to bag the trophy:
- Stagger enemy
- Lunge in (upgraded lunge)
- Drop Lightning Rod on enemy
- Limit Break
- Use Gigaflare
- Use Remaining Abilities until Stagger Phase is Up.
The best time to attempt this trophy is when you’re fighting any boss, as they’ll have a lot more health which means you’ll be able to fully utilize the stagger phase and you’ll get multiple attempts. Your first objective is to get the enemy into the stagger phase which can be done by using Magic Burst to get it down to half stagger, then use Garuda’s Gouge to quickly deplete the stagger bar.
Once you’ve successfully staggered the enemy, you’ll want to lunge in by pressing + and drop down Lightning Rod directly in front of the enemy, then activate your Limit Break by pressing + . You’ll now want to use Gigaflare to deal a large amount of damage, then finish up the stagger phase by making use of any other remaining abilities. If done correctly, this should bag you 50k+ Stagger Damage and unlock the trophy.
