The Legend of Zelda has long been known for its puzzles, but the one to start the path to the Water Temple in Tears of The Kingdom is a bit frustrating. During Clues to The Sky, you have to find the Zora King, a floating island in the shape of a fish, and a floating teardrop to start to open the path to the sky. The guide below goes over how to repair the Zora tablet, find the Zora King, find Floating Fish Island, and where to find the floating teardrop in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
How to Repair The Tablet at Toto Lake¶
Once you speak with Sidon, he will mention that a researcher by the name of Jiahato is currently looking into the cause of the muck. Fly over to Toto Lake. If you can’t find it, then check our map here. Once there, you will be told that he’s studying a broken tablet and a huge piece is missing. Right outside the cave to your right is the rest of the tablet covered with muck. Use a Water Fruit to free it and then Ultrahand to place it back in the correct spot. Once the tablet is back together, Jiahto will tell you that you need the Zora King’s Scale and where to find the mysterious Sky Fish.
Where to Find King Zora Near Zora’s Domain¶
Next, you will want to find King Zora. If you go to the Throne Room and hide behind the small wall in the pond, the kids will give you a hint about where the Zora King is hiding. This is a step that you can completely skip if you aren’t interested in the extra dialogue, though. The Zora King is at the Pristine Sanctum. The easiest way to get in is by gliding down inside. The entrance can easily be seen by jumping off the water west from Lulu Lake. For more help, check the location out on our map here. Once you are inside, you will find King Dorephan, who has been hurt by the muck. After speaking with him for a bit, he will give you the King’s Scales. If you run out, speak with Dorephan again to get more. You will now need to move back to the area below Mipha’s Court, where Sidon is.
How to Reach The Sky Fish in Clues to The Sky¶
Finding the Sky Fish is a bit tricky. To help you locate him, look at your sky fish. The island is floating near Mipha’s Court and is a fish with smaller rocks floating around it. From Sidon’s Location, look east. You will see a waterfall falling from the sky. Glide into it with your Zora Armor on, and you will climb onto the Floating Scales Island. Go to the top of the island, and clear out the muck so that you can easily move around.
How to find the Tear Drop¶
Face Link towards East Reservoir Lake, the rocks on the side will move into a tear shape when you’ve moved while looking at them in the correct direction. Once the tear is exposed, equip a King’s Scale to your arrow and shoot it through the tear drop.
How to Beat the Sludge Like¶
A Light will descend into East Reservoir Lake. Go back to the surface and speak with Sidon. You will now go to the location with him and speak. A muck-covered Sludge Like will attack. Use the new ability given to you by Sidon to wash away the muck and attack the Sludge Like’s core. You will need to do this a few times before it’s destroyed. After a bit of dialogue, he will open the way to the Ancient Zora Waterworks and jump inside to start the mini-dungeon.
