If you’re looking to ****do some gambling then you will want to visit the Bedrock Bistro after completing the Fire Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Once you get the Bistro up and running again by helping Cooke, a Goron named Gomo will ask for Link’s help in finding a rare resource called Ripened Flint. The guide below goes over how to complete Cash in on Ripened Flint, where to find Flint in Eldin, and what your chances are of Gomo finding a piece of !Ripened Flint in your stack.
Where to Find Ripened Flint in ToTK¶
Once you complete the Fire Temple several quest will open up, including some at the Bedrock Bistro. After you complete the restaurant’s initial quest Meat For Meat, you will be able to speak with a Goron at the table near the counter named Gomo. Gomo is a food critic that’s traveling Hyrule, and he has a taste for rare rocks. He will give Link the quest, Cash in on Ripened Flint and task him with finding the rare resource. This is a pretty confusing quest, as it seems to be completely based on your luck.
When you speak with Gomo after starting the quest you will be given three choices. These pertain to how much Flint you give Gomo at once, the table below lists your chance of giving him a piece of Ripened Flint.
Amount of Flint | Chance of Ripened Flint |
---|---|
20 | 20% Chance of Ripened Flint. |
50 | 50% Chance of Ripened Flint. |
100 | Guaranteed Piece of Ripened Flint. |
If you want to complete the quest quickly, and don’t care about saving Flint then you can just do the 100 Flint option if you have enough in your inventory. If you want to conserve your Flint, then do the 20 Flint option, but save your game before giving it to him. If Gomo doesn’t find the Ripened Flint in the batch, then reload your save until he does. You will get 1,000 Rupees for each piece of Ripened Flint he finds, making this a rather poor way to make money. In addition, there is no reward for this quest, but you can visit Gomo at any time to offload your extra Flint for a chance at some quick Rupees.
If you don’t currently have enough Flint in your inventory to complete this quest then you can simply mine the ore around Hyrule to collect some. There are a large amount of Ore Deposits on the other side of Death Mountain in the Lake Darman Monster Den. Before you leave the Bistro area, be sure to also grab the Rock Roast or Dust quest from Cooke.
