Most shrines in Tears of the Kingdom require some complex challenges to be overcome in order to get it checked off and the Blessing of !Light secured. However, the Jogou Shrine isn’t one of these and instead, it’s the run up to the shrine that is the tricky part.
With this guide we’ll run you through what you’ll need to be doing to both find and complete the Jogou Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom so you can eliminate any possible worries about not being able to get this off the list.
Where to Find Jogou Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom¶
For the Jogou Shrine location, you’re going to be looking to the west of the map here as it is situated within the Lanaryu region. More specifically, you’ll be heading to the Lanaryu Road - East Gate area, where the body of water meets the land.
However, it is not a shrine that can easily be accessed on the surface and you must head into a cave to get a chance at it. The cave in question here is the Lanaryu Road East Cave (Map Marker) and finding this underground location is just the first step for unlocking and completing the shrine.
How to Complete Jogou Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom¶
Once you find the Lanaryu Road East Cave and enter, you’ll first see that the Jogou Shrine is nowhere to be found. This is because you’ve got even more exploring to do in order to find it, a rarity somewhat as you usually don’t have to do this much digging to find them.
Your first port of call is to get out of the water that you’ll likely be in if you performed a glide into the cave. Simply hop on one of the rocks if this is the case to avoid any potential pitfalls with stamina loss. Then, jump back in the water and look to swim toward the Like Like that is hanging upside down. You can take this enemy on but if you’d rather avoid it, just run to the right-hand side of the area to avoid it all together.
After, glide down to the next section and look again to the right as this side of the cave is where you need to be in order to access the subsequent shrine. Carry on this path, keeping an eye on the Boss Bokoblin and its followers that should be in the same area. Again, similar to the Like Like, you can completely avoid these if you wish.
Once you’ve progressed to about halfway round, if you look to your left, toward the large boulder in the middle of the water, there are some breakable rocks. Use a Bomb Flower fused arrow or two in order to make an opening here. Then, you can swim to the now open area where the Jogou Shrine can be activated.
As previously alluded to, this is the biggest challenge of the shrine because when you enter, there is no additional puzzle and instead, you’re just given a chest. Inside should be a Hearty Elixir which is perfect for those harder boss battles.
