The South Hyrule Sky Archipelago area in the Sky Map, has one particular island that has two lakes on it. If you intend to explore this island, know that there are two chests, both of which are buried at the bottom of the lake. If you plan on getting those chests, you’ll have to solve a little puzzle to remove the water to get those chests safely. Here’s how to solve the !South Hyrule Sky Archipelago Lake Puzzle.
South Hyrule Sky Archipelago Lake Puzzle Walkthrough¶
When you arrive at the !South Hyrule Sky Archipelago’s southernmost island, you must find two objects that you can pick up with Ultrahand. There are a few fallen logs on the lower end of the island, and there are a few wings and a log on the upper island, so, feel free to grab whichever you prefer. Once you have found your preferred objects, you must place them under the shrines, lift the hatches next to them, and then Fuse it with the supporting object. The general theory is keeping those hatches open to drain the water.
In addition, you need to do it in a certain order
- Grab an object, such as a log and place it under the shrine at the lower lake’s shrine base.
- Lift the lower lake hatch, and fuse it with the supporting object
- Drain the first lake, then grab the chest inside.
- Now leave the lower lake and climb to the one above.
- Get another object and place it under the other lake hatch shrine structure.
- Lift the hatch again, and fuse it with the other object.
- This will now drain the first lake, which will pour all of its content into the second lake, and then the lower lake will then drain that water out too.
- You can now grab the final lake chest.
