The Lanayru region is where you’ll find the !Zora’s Domain, one of the many areas you’ll visit during the Regional Phenomena Main Quest and the location of one of the elemental temples. Once you’re done with the events in the !Water Temple, a bunch of new side quests will open up, and this page will tell you how to complete the Moonlit Princess Side Quest.
Seggin can’t forget the sight of Princess Mipha holding her Lightscale Trident in the light of the moon.
Perhaps you can fulfill his wish of seeing that lovely sight just one more time.
How to Begin The Moonlit Princess Side Quest in TOTK¶
This is a short and simple Side Quest you can complete, provided you know where to go and you’re fortunate enough to get the right conditions. Before you can get started on it, though, you’ll need to progress the Main Quest until you’ve completed the Water Temple and wrapped up the Regional Phenomena storyline in Zora’s Domain.
Once all of that is done, you’ll notice that many of the residents of !Zora’s Domain will now offer Side Quests and Side Adventures for you to undertake. To start this particular quest, head towards the throne room, and then go up to the bridge that heads west, you’ll find Seggin here who seems to be lost in thought. Speak with him to learn that he cannot get the image of Mipha, one of the Champions from Breath of the Wild.
How to Complete The Moonlit Princess Side Quest in TOTK¶
This is a far simpler task than it may seem at first glance, but before you can do anything, you must have completed the Camera Work in the Depths Main Quest and obtained the Camera. If you’ve still yet to complete this quest, make your way to Lookout Landing and speak with Josha to get it underway, it’s a short quest that introduces the Depths to you.
With Camera in hand, you’ll need to wait until it’s nighttime (more specifically, between the hours of 10:30 PM and 02:30 AM) so if it’s not evening, rest at the nearby Inn until it is. Once you’re awake, pay attention to the weather, you’ll need clear skies for the picture you’re going to take. Look at the weather gauge for the next few hours to get an idea, and if it’s not going to be clear skies, keep sleeping until you get the desired weather.
You’ll now need to head to the statue of Mipha, if you’ve forgotten where that is, you’ll need to teleport to the Ihen-a Shrine you hopefully activated during the Regional Phenomena questline. This will bring you to Mipha Point where you can simply take a walk up the stairs to find the statue of Mipha at the very top.
If it’s not yet the desired time, wait and you’ll then start to see the moon shift across the sky. Pull out your camera, wait until the moon is above the statue and take a snap with both in view (you’ll see a quest marker above the statue). Once you’re happy with the shot, return to Seggin and show it to him to fulfill his request, as thanks, he’ll hand over his Zora Sword.
