Throughout your journey in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will encounter a lot of people who will need your help. These will come in the form of side quests, with each of the game’s stables having at least one. This page will focus on the side quest, A Picture for Woodland Stable.
Where to Start A Picture for Woodland Stable in Tears of the Kingdom¶
First and foremost, this side quest will require the Camera, so you will need to have done the Camera Work in the Depths main quest in Lookout Landing. For the actual quest, you will be heading over to the Woodland Stable, which is located in the Eldin Canyon area of the map. Head northeast from Lookout Landing, cross the Boneyard Bridge, as well as the Helmhead Bridge, then follow the road to the east. You will find the stable right at the next fork in the road. If you have the Ekochiu Shrine unlocked, fast travel to that, as it’s just outside the stable. Once you do, go inside and inspect the empty picture frame to start the side quest.
Where to Find the Goron Hot Springs in Tears of the Kingdom¶
Kish, the owner of the Woodland Stable, wants to have a picture of the famous Goron hot springs. Of course, he thinks people would find a picture of just the hot springs to be a little boring, so he mentions that he wants a picture of a Goron soaking in some hot springs. Thankfully, you won’t need to do any other main quest, other than the one for the Camera, here, since there is one spot where you will be able to fulfill his request.
If you’ve never been to Goron City, exit the stable and take the road that leads to the north. At the first split, head northeast, then keep following the road and taking the northern options. Once you arrive at Goron City, activate the Marakuguc Shrine and then head straight south from it. There does seem to be a road leading to the hot springs, but it’s not as easily accessible as it looks. If you can get on top of the stone statues overlooking the town, you should be able to glide down to that path.
The path does lead straight to the hot springs, where you will find an older Goron soaking in them. If you haven’t done so yourself, going into the hot waters around the Eldin region will actually replenish your health, should any hearts be missing, so it’s a decent way to recover a little bit of health. When you take the picture of the Goron in the hot springs, make sure you have the quest marker in the photo, or it won’t count for the quest.
With the photo in hand, return to the Woodland Stable and inspect the empty frame once more. Show him your picture, he’ll do his thing, and the quest will be over. You will receive one Pony Point and a Hasty Vegetable Curry.
