The game urges you to stop by the cold !Rito Village to try to learn more about Zelda’s disappearance. Once there, though, you learn that getting around is anything but easy. Not only is the region freezing, but due to the blizzard, the bridge into town has now collapsed, cutting off the path for supplies and visitors. The guide below goes over how to get into Rito so that you can continue on with the main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
How to Get Into Rito Village in Tears of a Kingdom¶
Once you finally arrive at the cliff near Rito Village, you will find that the bridge is out. You won’t be able to glide across normally, as you can’t climb icy slopes, and there’s no other entrance to the town as it rests in the middle of a crater. Luckily there are two ways to get across. If you want to practice your Ultrahand ability, then you can use an ax to cut down nearby trees and build a bridge long enough to cross. Just make sure it’s at least two logs wide.
If you want to do things the easy way, then pick up some Hylian Pinecones off the ground. They are easily found in front of the Lucky Clover Gazette. You will want to go to the fire near the broken bridge and drop them in. When you do, the fire will grow, causing a draft that carries your glider high into the air from just here, glide across to !Rito Village.
Once you are in !Rito Village, be sure to activate the Gatakis Shrine to give you a fast travel point back to the town. Keep in mind that if you build a bridge, it will despawn. It’s not a permanent fix to the issue.
