There are a ton of side quests to find and do in Tears of The Kingdom. Many of them give rewards, but some like the Lurelin Resort Project actually open new activities for Link to do. Getting the Lurelin Water Rally open is rather tricky though as it’s locked behind a long list of other quests. The guide below goes over what you need to do to trigger the Lureline Resort Project and how to get the Water Rally open.
How to Open The Lurelin Water Rally¶
There are a ton of quests to do in Lurelin Village, many of which will open new shops as is the case with the Lurelin Resort Project quest. Before you will be able to complete this quest though, you will need to complete several side adventures and side quests. Below is everything you need to do to complete the Lurelin Resort Project quest and open the Lurelin Water Rally.
- Ruffian-Infested Village - Lurelin
- Lurelin Village Restoration Project - Lurelin
- Master the Vehicle Prototype - Tarry Town Construction Site
- The Tarrey Town Race Is On! - Tarry Town Construction Site
You have to complete the two Lurelin side adventures before the Lurelin Resort Project side quest will appear. Once you’re done with this, speak with Rozel and Bolson at the west beach gate in Lurelin Village. He will ask you what the town should do to attract tourists. The only decision he accepts is a water rally, and he will ask you to go to Tarry Town to find racers to help with the project.
You will need to complete the two Tarry Town racing side quests listed above to recruit Shabonne and Tali for the project. Once you do, speak with them and tell them about the water rally and they will automatically move to Lurelin Village. Teleport back to the village, and head through the gate where you first found Bolson, you will see the group gathered together up ahead. When you speak with them, they will go ahead and build the Water Rally building completing the quest. Whenever you want to do a race simply speak with Bolson at the counter. Like most things in Lurelin Village, using the raceway is free for Link.
