There are a large number of side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with there being a good number of them in !Zora’s Domain. One such side quest is called Secret Treasure Under the Great Fish (that’s definitely a long title), which has you hunting down a treasure. This loot actually ends up being the Vah Ruta Divine Helm, which was actually one of the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild.
Where to Start Secret Treasure Under the Great Fish in Tears of the Kingdom¶
Upon clearing the Water Temple, which is a part of the Regional Phenomena main quest, you will unlock a large number of side quests in Zora’s Domain. If you head to the throne room there, you will find Sidon, who will be standing next to the king. Speak to Sidon and he will actually have this side quest for you. He said he found some text in some old book, which mentions a secret treasure that he thinks you can find. The passage reads as follows:
The great fish. The eternal guardian. A secret treasure awaits just beneath the stony form of its statue. Below the long bridge that reaches for the statue, leave your fears behind. Pass beneath two waterfalls to find your prize.
Where to Find the Vah Ruta Divine Helm in Tears of the Kingdom¶
The key points from the clue are the statue and the two waterfalls. If you look at the main structure in !Zora’s Domain, you will see that it’s actually a giant statue of a fish. With that knowledge, that means you are not far from the treasure at all. Take the southern bridge out of the domain and you will notice you pass by a big waterfall. This is the first of two waterfalls in the quest’s clue, but it’s a little tough to see the secret behind the waterfall. While facing it, the secret cave will be on the left side of the bridge, so jump down into the water and swim behind the waterfall.
If you’re at the correct spot, then you will see a cave entrance, so head inside to discover the Cave Under Zora’s Domain. As you enter the main room, you will see the Chasm Under Zora’s Domain, so make sure you don’t fall into the giant hole. On the far side is another waterfall, which is the second of the two mentioned in the clues. Head on over to it and swim through this one to find a hidden room, where you’ll see the chest. Open that chest to receive the Vah Ruta Divine Helm and finish the side quest.
