The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Dad's Blue Shirt Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of The Kingdom

By
Jessica Dillon

If you want some of the classic gear from older Zelda games then you’re in luck. Hyrule is full of armor that is a throwback to the other Zelda games. Wind Waker fans can even get the Island Blue Lobster Shirt that is only seen for a brief amount of time at the start of the classic game. You can find it in "Lurelin Village" iconLurelin Village, and it’s part of a quest called "Dad's Blue Shirt" iconDad’s Blue Shirt. The guide below goes over how to start Dad’s Blue Shirt and where to find the chest containing the "Island Lobster Shirt" iconIsland Lobster Shirt.

Speak with Zuta to start Dad’s Blue Shirt.

How to Retrieve Zuta’s Shirt

Before you can get the quest Dad’s Blue Shirt, you will need to complete two side adventures to restore Lurelin Village. This can take a bit of time as they are some of the lengthier side adventures in the game, and at some points can even be a bit confusing. The following are the two Lurelin side adventures you need to complete in order to unlock Dad’s Blue Shirts.

Once this is done, find and speak with Zuta on the beach. He will tell you that he lost his dad’s prized blue shirt in the water. If you use "Ultrahand" iconUltrahand a bit up the shore on the town’s west side, you will see a treasure chest at the bottom of the bay. To get it out, simply use some wood near the chest in the water, and use Ultrahand to raise it up and place it on dry ground. From there, open the chest to get the Island Lobster Shirt.

(1 of 3) Use Ultrahand to see the chest containing The Island Lobster Shirt in the water.

This is an item that was originally in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and when you speak with Zuta again, you will be able to keep it. This isn’t a piece of armor that you will be able to upgrade, instead, it is merely for looks and a neat Easter egg for older fans of the Zelda series.
