There are plenty of quests to pick up in Eldin while playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Many won’t unlock until after you have finished the Fire Temple though. The Mine-!Cart Land trio of quests are all locked until the Marbled Rock Roast is cleaned up. The guide below goes over where to find the Mine-!Cart Land quests, and tips for completing all three mini-games in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
Mine-Cart Land: Open for Business! Tips¶
To start the Mine-!Cart Land quest line, won’t initially appear in Eldin. To unlock it, you must first complete the Fire Temple. Once this is done, go to the Southern Mine, this is located down the road from Goron City. Once there, head inside the cave and you should see three Gorons standing together. This cave isn’t hot, so you don’t need to worry about heat resistance. Speak with the brothers and the quest Mine-Cart Land: Open for Business! will begin. All you need to do to get the track started is use Ultrahand to place the minecart on the track. You won’t be able to use your own mine !cart or place fuse any objects to it.
When you’re ready to start the mini-game, hop into the cart. You will be asked by Bayge if you’re ready to start, confirm and the mine cart will begin moving. You’re given x10 Arrows the first time you play each of the tracks, but you should bring extras just in case. Your goal for this first course is to shoot five balloons. The cart moves slow enough that you can just position your bow and wait for the shot to line up, and there are enough balloons where you can miss quite a few and not lose. Try not to shoot when your going around a town or if the balloon is below your cart. Some of the balloons you will be able to see, but won’t have a good shot on until you go further down the track. If you have limited arrows keep this in mine, as it’s quite easy to run out before you reach the end.
It is possible for your bow to break while riding the mine cart. Bring extras just in case and make sure the bow you are using isn’t in poor condition. The ride will end when you get to the end of the course. You will be given a Red Rupee, and the second quest Mine-Cart Land: Quickshot Course will unlock.
Mine-Cart Land: Quickshot Course Tips¶
To start the second track, speak with Heehl, he will ask you if you want to try the Mine-Cart Land: Quickshot Course. This course is all about popping balloons as quick as possible. If you do, use Ultrahand to once again sit the mine cart on the track. Hop in and tell Heehl you are ready to start. This time you will need to hit seven balloons in under one minute and twenty seconds. This is still easy to do, and you will be given another ten arrows. Like in the previous course, you can wait for the shot to line up before making it, once you hit all eight balloons the course will end. This time you will be given a Purple Rupee and the last course Mine-Cart Land: Death Mountain will unlock.
Mine-Cart Land: Death Mountain Tips¶
For this next course, you are going to need to travel a bit, as it takes place near the top of Death Mountain. You can get there quickly by teleporting to Sitsum Shrine, the mine cart track is right above it, you just need to climb up. Once there, speak with Kabetta. He will ask you to place the mine cart back on the track and then hop in when you’re ready. Once you confirm with Kabetta that you’re ready to go, the mine cart will start heading down !Death Mountain. As you go down the slopes, it will speed up making it slightly harder to hit targets.
You will need to hit a total of eight targets to complete this course and there’s no time limit. Like in the other two courses, you can wait to line up your shot with the target before shooting. There are plenty of balloons all the way down, so you won’t have trouble reaching your goal if you aim slow. Once you beat this track you will receive the Goron Fabric. All three courses can be played again for a fee, and you will get more Rupees when you complete them. Keep in mind that you will need to bring your own arrows from now on, or pay the brothers an extra 20 Rupees to buy them at Mine-!Cart Land.
