This page offers information on how to complete The North Hebra Mountains Crystal shrine quest, which you’ll need to complete to unlock Sisuran Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The shrines in Tears of the Kingdom work in the same way as in Breath of the Wild in where you simply touch them to activate, and then walk inside to take on the challenge. However, there are in fact some shrines that are not simply out in the wild and require some more uncovering in order to be able to unlock its secrets.
This is done by completing a Shrine Quest, which aren’t too bothersome in the main but there are occasions where you need a little help to get through. The North Hebra Mountains Crystal Shrine Quest could be one of these as instead of a puzzle, you’re asked to take on a formidable opponent.
With this guide, we’ll run you through exactly what you need to do to complete this, uncovering the associated shrine and get to acquiring the Light of Blessing.
How to Complete The North Hebra Mountains Crystal Shrine Quest¶
To get to this Shrine Quest, you’re going to be looking for the Sisuran Shrine which is located north of the Hebra East Summit (Map Marker). It’s going to be pretty chilly so ensure you have some warm clothes for this. If you’re stuck looking around in this area, here is a map marker on our interactive map to cut some of the wandering time out
As previously stated, instead of a puzzle to unveil the shrine, The North !Hebra Mountains Crystal Shrine Quest makes you defeat a boss. The boss in question here is a Frost Talus, a variation of the Stone Talus that can seriously trip you up if you don’t know how to defeat it.
If you haven’t taken one on yet, or simply having serious issues with the mechanics of this battle, here is a good strategy for making the fight a swift one.
As the Frost Talus has a layer of ice on its body, this is your first hurdle you need to overcome in order to take it down. Luckily, you should have a variety of different items that can be used to get it melted instantaneously.
Our recommendation here is to attach a Fire Fruit onto an arrow and shoot it from afar, melting the ice. Don’t worry about the arms here and focus on the body because once you do get rid of the ice, you’ll have to climb it to get at the all-important crystal. If you get to this point, just hit the crystal with whatever you have got, the stronger the better.
You probably won’t be able to get the Talus’ health bar down completely in one go so just repeat the same process as just mentioned and you’ll have it completed in no time. There’s no need to worry too much about the boss’ attacks because you should be able to stay far enough away to stagger with the Fire Fruit arrows and just get out after doing damage.
Once you defeat the Talus, simply grab the crystal with Ultrahand and carry it back to the shrine in order to unlock it.
